Original oil paintings
1. Review and acceptance
The online configuration is an estimate based on the client’s selections. OZZ Studios reviews the description and references before production. If the selected complexity, material, frame, schedule or shipping method is not appropriate, OZZ Studios will provide a written correction. The client may accept the correction or cancel for a refund of amounts not already committed as permitted below. Work does not begin until the request is accepted and the required first payment clears.
2. Price and payment schedule
The first Square checkout is 70% of the artwork price plus 100% of approved shipping and protective packaging. The remaining 30% artwork balance is due after completion approval and before pickup or release to the carrier. Applicable tax is calculated through Square from the seller’s configured tax settings. The remaining 30% is a balance, not a representation of pure profit; production cost, labor, fees and business obligations may be paid from both installments.
3. What the price includes
The starting price for each wood-supported canvas size includes black-and-white color direction, Standard complexity, no frame and no varnish. Full color adds a complete pigment-set allowance that increases for larger canvases. Matte includes one complete protective coat; high gloss includes two coats and therefore costs twice the one-coat finish package for the selected size. Deep floater frames and higher complexity levels are separate add-ons. Orientation and optional color notes do not add a fee by themselves. Production supplies are priced in complete purchased units or complete size-based packages rather than fractional milliliters.
4. References and permission
The client confirms that they own, created or have permission to use submitted reference material. OZZ Studios may refuse unlawful, infringing, hateful or unsafe content. Reference files are used only to evaluate and produce the commission, subject to the privacy terms below. The artist may make necessary compositional changes while preserving the approved concept.
5. Sketches, revisions and approval
Standard complexity includes one consolidated sketch revision. Detailed, High detail and Collector levels include two consolidated sketch revisions. Additional revisions, a changed concept, new subjects or a new reference after approval may require a written change order and additional payment. The client is responsible for checking names, dates, likeness priorities, orientation, palette and other requested details before approving the sketch.
6. Handmade character
An original oil painting is handmade. Brushwork, texture, color mixing and small differences from a digital sketch or photograph are part of the medium and are not defects. Screens also display color differently. OZZ Studios does not promise a mechanical reproduction of a reference image.
7. Schedule and communication
Any completion window is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, unless a separate written deadline is accepted. Oil drying, varnishing, framing, material availability, weather, illness and carrier conditions can affect timing. The schedule pauses while OZZ Studios waits for client approval, missing information or payment. If the client does not respond for 30 days after two written attempts, the project may be placed on hold and a new schedule will be required.
8. Staged cancellation and refunds
- Before supplies are purchased and before design work begins: the client may cancel and receive the amount paid, less any processor amount that Square actually retains and that applicable law permits OZZ Studios to retain.
- After supplies, frame or packaging are committed: OZZ Studios may retain documented nonrecoverable costs plus the reasonable value of completed design work; the unused balance is refunded.
- After sketch approval or painting begins: the artwork deposit is nonrefundable because the work is custom, except when OZZ Studios fails to perform or applicable law requires otherwise.
- Shipping money: unused shipping and packaging money remains refundable until packaging is ordered, the shipment is purchased or another nonrecoverable shipping commitment is made.
If OZZ Studios cancels for reasons not caused by the client, OZZ Studios will refund the unearned portion, including unused shipping money. If unsafe, abusive, fraudulent or rights-violating conduct causes termination, completed work and nonrecoverable costs remain payable.
9. Completion, final balance and final sale
After completion, the client receives photographs for reasonable inspection. The final balance must clear before pickup or shipment. Custom work is final sale once painting begins and cannot be returned for change of mind. If the delivered work materially differs from the written approved specification or arrives with a verified production defect, OZZ Studios will first have a reasonable opportunity to repair, correct or replace the affected part, or provide another remedy required by law.
10. Ownership and copyright
After full payment, the client owns the physical original. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with OZZ Studios unless a separate signed copyright transfer says otherwise. The client may display and resell the physical original, but may not make or sell reproductions, merchandise or commercial derivative works without written permission.
11. Portfolio choice
Finished work is published in the artist’s portfolio only when the client opts in. Personal contact information and private reference files are not published. Permission can be withdrawn before publication by contacting OZZ Studios through the original booking or payment channel.
From studio to client
1. Quote method
Domestic shipping estimates use origin ZIP 34474, the exact five-digit destination ZIP, the selected size and frame, full-unit protective packaging, billable weight, UPS Ground retail rate, applicable handling, peak demand and delivery-area charges, Signature Required, declared value, a disclosed 20% shipping-and-handling margin and the online Square fee allowance. Carrier fuel rules and prices can change. A material change requires written client approval before an added charge; otherwise the client may choose pickup or cancel the uncommitted shipping portion.
A framed 48 × 60 inch painting requires a custom crate or freight quote. Unsupported destinations also require manual review. International shipping, customs and import taxes are not included.
2. Address and delivery
The client must enter a complete deliverable street address in the commission form and review the address again when it is prefilled into Square. The destination ZIP used for pricing must match the shipping address. OZZ Studios—not the client—reviews the request and communicates the estimated production and shipping timeline. Signature is required. The client is responsible for being available for delivery or arranging an authorized carrier option. Costs caused by an incorrect client address, refusal or unclaimed package may be charged to the client when legally permitted.
3. Damage or loss
Inspect the package promptly. Report visible or concealed damage within 48 hours of delivery through the original order channel. Include photographs of every side of the outer box, the shipping label, all internal packaging and the artwork. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved. OZZ Studios will assist with the carrier claim and provide the remedy required by the order terms and applicable law. A carrier delay alone is not artwork damage.
4. Care
Display original oil paintings indoors, away from direct sun, heat, high humidity, smoke and water. Do not use household cleaner on the painted surface. Lift by the stretcher or frame with clean hands and use mounting hardware appropriate to the final weight. OZZ Studios may include a certificate of authenticity and care card with the original.
One official booking path
1. Purpose and price
The tattoo section sends clients to the official OZZ Studios Square Appointments page. Service selection, booking questions, availability, client identification within Square and appointment confirmation are handled by Square rather than a separate form on this website. No tattoo payment, deposit or checkout is collected through the OZZ Studios website. An appointment on the calendar does not replace final artist review, identification, consent or a decision that the session can proceed.
2. Eligibility and identification
Appointments are limited to adults age 18 or older. The client must present valid government-issued photo identification. The artist may decline or postpone the session if identity, age, consent, the requested design or the conditions at the location cannot be confirmed.
3. Exact address and property access
When requested during booking or follow-up, the client must provide the complete address where the session will occur, including apartment or unit, parking, gate, stairs, elevator and arrival instructions. The client confirms they have permission to use the property and can provide uninterrupted access for setup, the complete appointment and cleanup. If the address or access conditions materially differ from the information provided, the artist may postpone the appointment.
4. Workspace readiness
Before arrival, the client must provide a cleared, stable work surface; adequate working space; strong lighting; working electricity; nearby running water; and a clean, smoke-free environment. Pets must remain outside the work area. The client must accurately identify other people who will be present and any space, parking, stair, elevator or access limitation. The artist may stop setup or the session if the environment is unsafe, unclean, unstable, inaccessible or substantially different from the submitted description.
5. Health and informed consent
The client agrees to arrive sober, keep the intended skin area free of active irritation, infection or open wounds, and privately disclose relevant allergies, medications and health or healing concerns before the session. The artist may postpone or refuse the session when the client appears impaired, the skin condition appears unsuitable, required information is missing or continuing would not be responsible. Medical questions should be discussed with a qualified clinician.
6. Design and final approval
The concept and references supplied through Square or the agreed private contact channel are planning information. Before work begins, the client must approve the final design, spelling, dates, placement, approximate size and position. References communicate direction and are not a promise of a pixel-identical copy. The client is responsible for clearly communicating must-include and must-avoid details, cover-up status and the amount of creative flexibility authorized.
7. Scheduling, changes and cancellation
The Square booking page and Square Go show the availability published in the same OZZ Studios calendar. New and returning clients may book through that page; returning clients can use the same contact information associated with their Square customer profile or use Square Go on a supported device. The client should communicate a cancellation, address change or timing problem as soon as possible through Square or the contact channel used for the appointment. Because no tattoo payment is collected through this website, cancellation here creates no refund. Repeated no-shows, incomplete information or an unsuitable location may cause a future request to be declined.
8. Aftercare, records and photographs
The client agrees to follow written aftercare instructions and communicate unusual healing concerns promptly. Healing varies by skin, placement, sun exposure, aftercare and individual biology. Any public use of a recognizable photograph requires separate permission; an appointment record is not a portfolio release.
Only what the work needs
OZZ Studios collects the contact details, selected service options, notes, painting references, shipping addresses and transaction or booking identifiers needed to organize, quote, create, deliver and support the work. Painting submissions are stored outside the public website in private Cloudflare storage. Tattoo booking information is entered on Square’s hosted appointment service and is handled through the connected Square customer and appointment records. Any private tattoo record created through an earlier version of this website remains access-controlled and is not altered by this booking change. Access is limited to the artist and authorized service providers. Information may be retained as needed for fulfillment, disputes, safety, tax, accounting and legal obligations, then securely deleted when no longer needed.
Card information is entered on Square’s hosted checkout and is never handled by the OZZ Studios website. Square processes payment data under its own terms and privacy practices. OZZ Studios does not sell client personal information. A client may request access, correction or deletion through the original booking or payment channel, subject to records OZZ Studios must retain by law.
Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online system can promise absolute security. Do not upload government IDs, medical records, passwords or unrelated sensitive documents. Health or safety concerns should be described privately and only to the extent needed to evaluate the session.
Resolve it in writing
Before filing a claim, each side will provide written notice describing the issue and allow 10 business days for a good-faith attempt to cure it, unless immediate action is needed to protect health, safety or a legal deadline. Florida law governs these terms, without eliminating consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A written project-specific agreement signed by both sides controls over a conflicting general term.
Nothing here limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow a business or client to waive.
